We have joined in partnership with Steps Together Rehab, an addiction recovery treatment centre in Nottingham. We will be delivering joint events to raise awareness of gambling addiction in the UK, and we look forward to a positive and beneficial partnership going forward.

Meeting The Mind Team
Mind in Haringey are committed to supporting those with mental health issues and raising awareness. Following a very positive and productive meeting with the Mind team in Haringey, we are working with them to develop a partnership that raises awareness of problem gambling within the borough.
YGAM Symposium
YGAM Symposium
This week saw Tony and Bradley attend a Symposium organised by YGAM (Young Gamblers Education Trust). It was held at City University with the focus on problem gambling and how it affects young people.
YGAM delivers accredited training to teachers, youth workers, community mental health colleagues, prison & probation colleagues and community volunteers, enabling them to deliver the YGAM gambling-related harm-prevention programme.
Dragon Boat Festival
Rotary Club Dragon Boat Festival
This week we had a stand at the Dragon Boat Festival organised by the Ware branch of the Rotary Club. The event was a great family day out enjoyed by all those who attended. The team at Red Card would like to thank everyone who helped to make this a great event.
Education and Awareness workshop
Workshop with Springboard Charity
Recently our team had the pleasure of delivering a workshop to a great group of Springboard students. The workshop was very successful and the audience were a very receptive, group who asked a lot of very interesting questions, which made the whole experience valuable for all concerned.

Rotary Club (Ware)
The Rotary Club Ware Branch
Tony and the Red Card Gambling Support Team were invited by the Rotary Club to their weekly breakfast meeting. Tony was a guest speaker and his talk was very well received. Several people admitted that they hadn’t realised how serious a problem gambling addiction is and the need for problem gambling services.
Celebrating 100 Hours Volunteering
Enfield Council Celebrate
Chris and Tony were recently invited to a celebration by the Deputy Mayor (now Mayor) of Enfield Christine Hamilton. The event was to celebrate all those who have voluntarily given over 100 hours of their time supporting organisations whose aim it is to help and support local residents.

Gambling Awareness Event
Gambling Awareness St Georges
This week Tony hosted a Red Card Gambling Awareness Event at his local church The Parish of St. George, Enfield in Freezywater.
The event was aimed at raising awareness of gambling addiction and problem gambling. It was open to the public and was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of Enfield, Christine Hamilton, and David Burrowes, MP for Enfield and Southgate. You can see highlights of the event here.

Tony was recently a guest of Vasco Stevenson on One Harmony Radio where he shared his story. He talked about our work at Red Card and the need to raise awareness of problem gambling. In this two-part interview Tony talks about the prevalence of problem gambling and what we are doing to combat it.
