Welcome to our November 2024 newsletter (online edition).
We are excited to share some of the impactful work we’ve been doing to raise awareness about gambling-related issues.
In November 2024, we achieved some incredible milestones, and we can’t wait to tell you all about them…
- 5th November – Red Card delivered workshop to Lichfield FC Academy.
- 6th November – Red Card delivered their seventh gambling awareness online workshop to Warwickshire Council
- 12th November – Red Card delivered a gambling awareness workshop to IMO Charity, as part of the Improving Outcomes project
- 14th November – Red Card delivered two gambling awareness workshops to young people at Boa Academy theatre company.
- 15th November – Red Card delivered three gambling awareness workshops to young people at Haringey Pru Learning Partnership.
- 19th November – Red Card delivered their gambling awareness workshop to Coram Fields Youth Club, as part of the Improving Outcomes project.
- 26th November – Red Card exhibited at the Network Rail annual conference in Birmingham.
- 28th November – Red Card headlined the Improving Outcomes 6 month anniversary catch up in Birmingham, delivering a talk and presentation.
Initiatives & Partnerships Update:
- 20th November – Red Card joined up with LAPS (Life After Professional Sport) and will work with them in partnership in 2025. We will be exhibiting at Molyneux Stadium in March 2025 as part of a networking conference, where Red Card founder Tony Kelly will be guest speaker. Tony Kelly also recorded a full interview which will go live on 16th December.
- 25th November – Red Card collaborated with Player Support Services and hopes to work with them in 2025.
Red Card has secured further funding to extend our involvement with the Improving Outcomes project until February 2025 and will look to further extend the project to February 2026.
Red Card has also secured future funding from the National Lottery, which means we will be funded to deliver our work to young people and the community up to April 2027.
