We are excited to share some of the impactful work we’ve been doing to raise awareness about gambling-related issues. In June 2024, we achieved some incredible milestones, and we can’t wait to tell you all about them…
Spreading gambling awareness across the UK
10th June. Red Card delivered our 4th online CPD-accredited gambling awareness training to North Warwickshire Council.
13th June. Delivered another gambling awareness workshop to Bar Beacon School in Birmingham.
19th June. We delivered our 5th online CPD-accredited gambling awareness training to North Warwickshire Council.
20th June. Red Card recruited Karl Colley, another ex-professional football player, onto the facilitating team.
21st June. Met with our non-league football project funder, Alderney Green Tube, to discuss future funding.
24th June. Founder Tony Kelly recorded a podcast with Jay Magumise, a passionate gambling advocate and Founder of FreshStart. In the recording, they dived deep into the crucial topics of gambling addiction recovery and awareness, sharing insights on how their organisations drive meaningful change in communities across Zambia and beyond.
Initiatives & partnerships update
5th June. Agreement with WorkLife Central to share Tony’s inspiring story.
25th June. Red Card meets with GambleAware to discuss the progress and actions moving forward for the Improving Outcomes project.
