Red Card at Haringey Mental Health and Exploitation Conference — 15 June 2022
Red Card are partnering with Haringey Council to help support mental health and gambling addiction provision. Red Card’s founder and managing director Tony Kelly will be delivering a session on gambling related harms at the Haringey Mental Health and Exploitation Conference in London on 15th June 2022.

Red Card Awarded 3 Years of Funding from National Lottery Community Fund
Red Card have secured three years of funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, to help educate young people on gambling related harms throughout the UK.
This funding is most welcome and will enable Red Card to reach more young people, aged 11 to 18, particularly in London and the Midlands.
Red Card will now be supported by the National Lottery through to 2025.

Red Card Online Virtual Gambling Awareness Workshop — CAHN, 6th June
Red Card Gambling Awareness has partnered with CAHN to bring an enlightening discussion about gambling.
Gambling is the UK’s fastest growing addiction, with nearly 1.4 million problem gamblers in the UK, yet there is very little help and advice available to prevent an addiction from developing or to support those currently suffering.
This workshop is designed to educate young adults on the negative impact problem gambling can have on their lives.

Gambling Awareness Workshop — Princethorpe College — 24th March, 2022
Red Card will be to delivering their next gambling awareness and education workshop to Year 11 and Year 12 students at Princethorpe College in Rugby on 24th March 2022.
This delivery will support 2021 legislation to educate students on gambling harms in all secondary schools in the UK.

Gambling and the workplace — a hidden problem
Gambling not only harms individuals and families, but also has a significant impact on employers, businesses, and other work organisations.
According to Public Health England, gambling in the workplace is on the rise, but whether in work or outside, problem gambling is linked to:
- Poor concentration on work
- Poor work performance
- Sleep deprivation
- Increased lateness and absence
- Negative impacts on employers and work colleagues
- mental health issues
- misuse of company property
- reduced health and wellbeing
- relationship breakdowns.

Urgent – deadline 7th March. Do you have lived experience of gambling harm? Your voice can help inform research.
Red Card is urgently seeking people with lived experience of gambling harm to help inform a new researh project.
In partnership with Red Card and other gambling harm organisations, Gamble Aware is commissioning research into gambling harms in people of black, Asian and other ethnic minority communities.
Research so far shows that people from these backgrounds are less likely to access gambling support and more likely to face barriers.
Gambling Awareness Workshop — Holme Grange School — 2nd March, 2022
Red Card was delighted to deliver their gambling awareness and education workshop to over 300 students at Holme Grange School in Wokingham on March 2nd.
This delivery will support 2021 legislation to educate students on gambling harms in all secondary schools in the UK.
